I, for one, can get into a state of SP without pre-sleep fairly quickly. There's always this threshold to get over though. When I get to bed (and I want this to happen), there's this numbness setting in, which goes on to the point where it becomes kinda uncomfortable. If I can get myself past that point without moving it's full on SP straight away
This, however, doesn't mean I can get into a lucid from that point easily

Because without pre-sleep, it just takes too long. Or maybe I'm just doing it wrong:p
