Well, I believe I've had my first WILD!
It wasn't all that great, unfortunately, but I thought I'd share on how I finally got it to work for me. Not sure if this is the right section for this topic - feel free to move it.
I went to bed with no particular goal in mind, just to get some sleep and maybe be lucky enough to go lucid. At some point early in the night (I believe it was only a couple hours after going to bed) I started hearing voices outside my room in the hallway. I was conscious enough to know there really wasn't anyone there and right away started suspecting the early stages of sleep. I was at WILD's doorstep!
First thing I did was try not to get excited, I knew that would wake me up. Instead, I tried to just listen to the conversation in the hall. I figured as long as I paid attention to something that was comming from "dreamland", I would have a better chance of staying on course into that direction.
THE VOICES
There was a female voice and a scary male voice. The man sounded kind of like a demon or something - but I knew this was normal and did my best to keep reminding myself that I was safe and that it was all a hallucination.
The woman wanted to come into bed with me, but she was worried about her child. The man kept saying that it was going to be ok, not to worry about the child. She insisted on taking the child downstairs first.
SLIPPING INTO DREAM
While this was happening, I started to feel like I was waking up a bit. I then started to focus on the shapes that appeared in my eyelids - changing colors and moving. Suddenly, I started to see the image of the woman. She was in a red bikini and the man was this huge black dude, I think he had glasses. Anyway, he took the young kid into his arms and said something like "ok, enough, he'll be fine, just get in there. I'll take him"
SNORING
The woman climbed on top of me and, well, started making out. However, the weird thing was that she kept making this raspy, groaning sound - kind of like Regan from the Excorsist! It was freaky. However, I was somehow able to figure out what was going on. I must have been snoring in waking life!! It was the same sound. So, even though I knew that had to be the cause of her voice, I was able to choose not to wake up (which would have stopped the snoring) in order to keep the dream going.
Well, I would have rather done more with my first WILD - something more exciting. But, now that I know what that weird "doorstep" area feels like, I'll be able to experience another WILD soon.
