Just pulled all nighter... now what?

Stayed up all night, browsing the net and such (mostly DV, of course).

Now what do I do? I heard about REM rebound but never fully understood it as it didn't apply to me as I usually slept during the night. I have been up since 11am saturday and it is now 8:40am sunday.

When should I go to sleep? Should I nap? How can I best use this situation to get an LD?
I'm feeling pretty tired, if I shut my eyes and curled up in bed I would definitely fall asleep in minutes.

Going to nap, and do a WILD. I feel like I'm on the verge of falling asleep, but I am still focused in a sense on what my thoughts are. Should be interesting.

I doubt 24 hours are nearly enough to talk about REM deprivation
"[...] As a result, the practitioner may decide that a parallel world has been entered: the world beyond, the astral plane, mental space, or the ether. Although travel in the phase can lead to many places, this does not mean that the phase allows travel through or use of actual, alternate worlds. The practitioner should be reasonable"

3 hours and 20 minutes later... slept like a log, had some dreams but they were rubbish. I don't even remember what they were about now. Was too tired to WILD. What's the best way to make use of a nap?

Usually if you're going to do a WILD you want to do AFTER sleep and not before.

Try doing it when you wake up from a proper sleep. Usually it's best 4-6 hours after sleep.

Using REM rebound is a two day affair. What you do is deprive yourself of REM sleep by sleeping for only 3 or 4 hours on Saturday night. On Sunday you go about your day as normally as a sleep deprived person can. When Sunday night rolls around you go to sleep normally. During this sleep you will experience a lot more REM than you normally would have to make up for what you didn't get the night before.

I see. Well I didn't sleep at all Saturday and I took a nap today so that's kinda ruined it. I can try again next weekend, but it was kinda rough being tired, I doubt I'll do it often, if at all. Thanks for clearing it up about rebound.
