Today I went to take a nap before class because I went to bed late last night. I had gotten up, eaten breakfast showered, and readied my things for class. I was tired and so I lay down on my bed to get an hour and a half, and begin listening to my breathing and watching the colors on the backs of my eyelids.

Eventually my body tingled and finally went numb but I was still focusing on the colors. They began to turn into clear objects that I could make out as a person. Rather than losing contact with my body, it was as if I regained contact with it in another reality, and was following Mario around through an office building. I was like instantaneously lucid; aware of my new surroundings and body.

I followed him down a few halls until he pulled some lever on a copy machine and it opened some kind of secret door. He took off in there and I followed but only found friends eating chili cheese dogs. One of my friends offered but I declined because I don't like hot dog weiners. I then reminded myself that I was in a dream so maybe they could taste like strawberries or something. I went to take a bite and they tasted minty, which surprised me to no end, and right into consciousness.

I then quickly wrote it down and layed on my bed for awhile thinking about it. I was probably only lucid for like 2 minutes or something, but it was awesome! I couldn't get WILD to work whenever I tried it before, because I would just fall asleep trying to watch my eyelids.

I think it might be easier when you're taking naps because your mind is awakened enough to stay that way in dreaming. Kind of makes it seem like deep meditation fascilitated by the position of sleeping on a bed. This will probably make my days even more enjoyable if I can revitalize with a nap!
