      Denying it...

I've had a trouble lately with RCs. If I notice something is wrong in a dream - something that would cause me to question it - then I'll more than likely RC in a dream. Trouble is, the outcome of the RC is not useful because I'm accepting everything! I look at the time - that's okay. I pinch my nose - I need to breath. Can't put my finger through my palm, etc.

Any ideas how to overcome this would be great!

Kind of a guess here, but I think what you have to do is know what you are doing when you are doing a RC.

It cannot just be a habit that carries into your dreams, because yes, then you will accept breathing through your pinched nose as normal. You have to remember when you do it each time, "If i can breath through my pinched nose, I am dreaming." Before you do the RC ask, "Am I dreaming?"
That happened in one of my few lucid dreams, I lost lucidity, but continued to pinch my nose and breath, and be like, "ok good" But I never realized what I was testing for.

I think the same (I'm a newbie, I've never truly experienced a LD). Try to do RCs during the day not as mere exercises, but asking truly to yourself if you're dreaming. You could follow the suggestions by LaBerge about training your memory in asking "Am I dreaming?" in various occurrences (planned or not) during the day. The question is as relevant as the deed (checking the clock, touching the nose and so on).

eXistenZ hit it right on the nose. The best way is to realy truely ask yourslef and question your environment. If you think about it, you have to coninve yoru mind that its current reality does not exist. Takes a bit of work hehe.

If you check the time, you should do it several times. *Something* unusual will happen.

I only remember doing a RC once in my dreams (nose pinch) but it worked the first time and I became lucid right away.
