The sub-lucid scenario and getting started again

I have not been here in a while mostly cause of college, also cause i basically gave up i think i might have been attacking attaining lucid from the wrong angle. I think me thinking of it as insta god powers might have been to much so I ask in a segway. what goes through your head basicly as you realize its a dream do you instantly try to move do you think about stuff like that? do you think you have to maintain the environment? And have you ever felt that you were in control but did not think it was a dream?

Hey buffaloguy, sorry no one replied to you sooner.

At the moment I am aware that I am lucid, I immediately go find something fun to do. The only time I don't jump into things, is if I find that my lucidity is a little fuzzy. Then I just do some tricks to stabilize the dream. More often than not, the dream maintains its own environment, and I don't have to try to do anything but enjoy it. I may try to change characters, or specific details, but the environment itself never a huge feat.

Your last question is more debatable. Some people would call "no lucidity with control" as a semi-lucid, or a partial-lucid. There's also a system of rating lucid hierarchy that's becoming more and more popular, which would classify that type of dream as a Layer 0 Prime lucid dream. But that's just a classification within a rating system, and not necessarily the same as a true lucid dream. However you want to qualify it, it's still well on the road to having a full lucid dream. And definitely noteworthy and should be recorded in your dream journal when you have them.

Welcome back to the forum and good luck!
