Well, first when I started remembering my dreams I could only remember (approx.) one dream a week.. Over time it got to one dream every 4 days. I start slapping my arm every time I dont remember a dream, very quickly it's around 1 dream per night, there are days when i still don't remember any at all. But mostly one dream per night. The length of the dream recalls varies..
Now I'm aiming at remembering more than one a night.
I will come here to \"report\" how well I've succeeded...
Using 'negative reinforcement' to remember dreams has helped one other person from this Page. That person chooses to slap the thigh -- not as delicate as the arm, so it can be slapped even harder with less chance of doing any permanant damage.
I once used a similar technique to help my left hand to equal my right hand, when I was learning juggling about a half a century ago -- slapping my left hand for messing up a trick seemed to get them message across to my Kinetic Mind that improvement was expected.
It seems that inflicting a little bit of pain may be a very effective prompt to the Subconscious Mind in regards to Dream Performance, Dream Recall, and maybe even for Lucidity Rate. If you think your Subconscious Mind is a bit apathetic and blase about your dream ambitions, then it is time to start slapping 'somebody' around.
