      First intentional LD!

I was dreaming about some people coming to burn down my house I got locked outside so I went to hide. I was hiding in a corner but I heard steps coming. Then I thought to myself something like this wouldn't happen maybe I'm dreaming. I did the plugged nose breathing RC and sure enough I was dreaming I told myself I was dreaming then stood up to face the people who were planning to burn my house down. I felt powerful like one punch could send them flying, but then I ended up waking up before I could do anything... A little disappointing it was still cool though.

congratulations! What preparations had you made or techniques had you been practicing prior to the dream? I had a WILD a week ago and nothing since Can't get it to work anymore.

Actually I listened to the LD inducing mp3 before I went to sleep. I wasn't sure if it would help me but it's free so I gave it a shot. I guess it did although I have no way of proving it did lol.

I have to try that induction tape more. It hasnt worked that well with me... some of the problem was related to the volum... woke up in the middle of the night with a manvoice shouting into my ear YOU ARE DREAMING!! *WOOSH WOOSH*

Did you get emotional, angry at those that tried to burn down you house?
Now here is the deal.. next time... you stay utterly calm and loving... try to make the dreamscenario stable... walk towards them like you would hug and forgive them.... THEN when you are in arms reach hit them with full force of everything you can imagine... cause then you atleast can hold onto one of them while you are fading out... maybe you will drag him with you..... or you could just stay calm and do something else

I wasn't exactly raging mad at them I just felt obligated to punish them for attempting to distroy my house(a dream replica of my real house). Even though it wasn't actually my real life house. The situation provided me with a goal to achieve in my dream. If I wanted I could have disreguarded it and done something else entirely. The main reason I woke up was because I got too excited realizing it was a dream. Hopefully next time I can keep my excitement in check it's a pretty hard thing to do....

Yeah, more important than to run around fighting or trying to do everything at once is to stay calm. This is mostly important in many of the first LD one experience. This is the only way one can train to be longer and longer inside a LD without being kicked out after 5 sec.
