Our hearing never completely goes to sleep so a fan might make an effective anchor. |

I haven't had a successful DEILD or WILD yet and am still trying to find a good anchor to work with. I have decent visualization skills. And am very good at visualizing me performing tasks at my work. My work is pretty noisy (part time butcher, lots of white noise from all the coolers/refrigeration units in the back room) and was wondering if would be a good idea to use the sound of my fan in my room in combination with day dreaming/visualization for a wild? Like instead of realizing im listening to a fan. Just imagine the fan's noise takes the place of the white noise i hear at my job. |

Oh it is a splendid idea! I've met many people who use fans for white noise. Even I use it. Before, I used my AC because it would give a buzzing sound. But it broke so I bought a small fan and I would turn it on even if it isn't hot in my room. The soft buzzing noise really works well for me, and helps me when I WILD (though I've only had a few successful ones so far) |
