recognition and dreamsigns

i have many dreamsigns, some of which include bad weather, old friends, my dog, and misplacement the problem is that when i see these in my dream, i dont recognize them,,, they dont make me think im dreaming. even the most obvious ones! i guess my question is, can u become lucid from seeing a dreamsign? have you guys ever had an experience like this? thanks in advance!
