      Meditation!

Has anyone (like me) seen the link between meditation and reality checking? In reality checking, are we not becoming aware that we are or are not dreaming? This awareness is the cornerstone to all meditation techniques i.e Becoming Aware of life itself. I wonder if people who are avid meditators have an easier time realizing that they are in fact dreaming.

I've seen quite a few connections between meditation and LDing. There's no doubt in my mind that the heightened state of alertness helps in lucid dreaming.

If I remember correctly, the All Day Awareness technique is a sort of meditation performed throughout the day.

Meditation helps me to try to see the unity between myself and everything in existence, but also just to be aware of the self of who I am.

In a lucid dream you are aware of what's make you, your personality (memories, emotions and subconscious).

If you go beyond that and are aware of your very essence, you realize that you are a part of something much greater.

Everything in nature is awareness (not aware of itself, but want to expand it's consciousness, it's a doozy to explain exactly what that means. But it has to do with sacred geometry)

I believe evolution is a sign of that and even though we as humans might think we are as aware as we can be, there are higher states of awareness to attain and that is in the end our goal and every goal in nature. Not that a tree wants to become enlightened, but the essence of life and geometry in a tree might become a higher conscious being like a bird. That's my view of the after life.

I use meditation to lucid dream and I use lucid dreaming to meditate so for me both of these have the same goal.

To understand the self and the essence of the self.

And before someone say "What have you smoked bro?" xD take a look a this video:

Meditation, hypnosis and falling asleep are all related in our big human brain. They all three require that we, at some point, reach the Theta brainwave state. If you have ever driven your car from here to there and wondered how you got there you were in Theta. Visual meditation works best for me when trying to prime the pump for a lucid dream. I occasionally touch on subject of meditation in my insomnia blog
