I've had DILDs and WILDs before, but I have yet to have a MILD even though I try quite often. In Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, Laberge seems to think that MILD is the most successful technique, but I get nothing from it. The only thing that has resulted from me trying to MILD is staying alert and having a WILD by accident.

Ok, I have two questions:

1.) Why do you have to visualize yourself being in the dream from which you just awoke? It seems like this would only be effective if your next dream was the exact same dream, thereby reminding you of your intent to notice the dreamstate.

2.) Would someone who can successfully have MILDs share EXACTLY how they do it?
