WILD (the caving in of conciousness)

Alright...i was trying a WILD this mornin' cause i'm skippin classes, im tired.

Anyway, i havent really had time for WILD last semester, i was WAY to busy, and short on sleep anyway, so i decided to take it up this semester!

Most of the time when i try a WILD, i end up slipping into a very vivid dream with very low lucidity, so that was a start. This morning i seriously tried it and had 4 interruptions that prevented me from getting all the way there(i now sympathize with SEEKER )
As i was just gettin ready for sleep, imagining myself driving very fastly down the freeway, or on a fast roller coaster, i felt consciousness cascading, or rather caving in on me and i fought it...but then i was like, "this is probly how i do it" so i tried some more and eventually screwed up and fell asleep.

I will describe this "caving in" more thouroughly:
I expirience those patterns of light floating through a void in my mind while meditating or 'tripping' during meditating, it was like this but different, it was like a waterfall of them rushing to take me over.

      so...what do ya' think?

If you focus too hard on the HI then they'll put you to sleep. I use them in the beginning, but when I feel like I'm losing consiousness I try not to focus on them so much and maintain conciousness by telling myself to relax or repeating things in my head like "I'm about to enter a dream." Then I try to concentrate more on how my body feels then what I see. When I feel vibrations and then my body is paralyzed I either get up or sink into my bed (figuratively in both cases, of course).

Until the last couple of times I liked the sinking better because I ended up in an unknown dream scene, whereas getting out of bed the dream always started in my bedroom. I'm not so sure now, because a couple of WILD's ago I had this thought as I was sinking through my bed that I was going into the underworld. Well, guess where I ended up - that's right, hell. Happened the next time as well, so I'm not liking the sinking thing so much right now.

Good advice. I'll try it tonight!
One problem I have is my mind being so active that HI doesn't even start!

I've tried that, also daydreaming. Right now, my mind is too active. I would try taking another hit of melatonin at 5am, but I suspect that would really mess up my day!

I was thinking about trying some Melatonin, but I just read this on WebMD:

      So, any news??
I've got the first 2 periods free for school tomorrow so I'm trying a WILD if my watch wakes me up, I've slept trough it a couple of times... I might put it near my pillow instead of wearing it (I'd have to search for it to do a RC, because I used to keep it on my arm so it'd be easier to find then next to my bed heh... )

If your watch doesnt wake you, just go to WAL MART and buy a cheap ass alarm clock...but keep wearing your watch and setting the alarm, because it can be a good dreamsign.
