Could you please list a few? I had a Lucid dream last night, and I wasn't sure if it was a dream or not (O_o). I remember reading somewhere a long time ago (I used to be very very very into Lucid Dreaming) that looking at your hand would help. I did that in the dream, and it looked normal. What was I supposed to do during that time? |

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard
I tried the stereotypical pinching yourself method once. It was in a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream, etc. I kept having an incredibly realistic dream that I had waken up and was getting ready for school. At random points, I'd wake up again. After several times, I decided to try the pincjing thing. It hurt, so I continued getting ready for school, and 'woke up' again a minute later. It continued till it had gotten me rather nervous. It would've been really useful to have known some good tests. I'll have to remember some from that list. |

Last night I checked at least 3 different clocks several times in my dream before I noticed anything weird and I became lucid. I then tried the finger through the palm thing and it didn't work! I need a new method... |

I think spinning around works really good since it activates some part of your eardrum which is somehow related to your REM period and makes the dream more dreamy (at least for me). |

About the lightswitch thing, the most commonly talked about dream sign. I have dreams in which light switches DO work. Sometimes they work properly, while other times the results are rather odd. |
