Stimulation of the left brain to have a lucid dream? Effective?

I was thinking, As you fell asleep what if you listed to a recording of someone asking math or logic questions and answered them? Am I on to something? Or possibly describe out load the qualities of what a dream as you fall asleep? Perhaps you could even read an article on dreaming before you fell asleep. What if you simply told yourself you're going to have dream rather than saying you're going to lucid dream? What about vividly describing your room as you fall asleep. saying "it'd be out of the ordinary if I was suddenly anywhere else".
