      Pleae review my idea!

Well, I'm trying to begin lucid dreaming again after a small break and I'm deciding on which technique I will use. In my life, I've only had maybe three or four lucid dreams, so I don't really have a method that has worked the majority of times. But I had an idea of using a method where I wake up after every dream, and use hypnagogia to enter a lucid dream from a waking state. The outline I made for myself was to :

Step 1). Create a mantra to guarantee my wake up after every dream ends, I've decided to go with "I wake up after my dreams"

Step 2). Repeat mantra until results are apparant.

Step 3). As I wake up after every dream in the night time, practice recognizing hypnagogiac hallucinations and practice attempting to use them to my advantage.

Step 4). Keep practicing my mantra, as well as recognizing hypnagogiac hallucinations, rinse and repeat every night.

Why I'm asking the forum is because through my time with lucid dreaming, I've always used theories and techniques presented to me on the forum or other sources like WILD, MILD, DEILD, etc; this one I kind of pieced together myself, though I have heard of others using hypnagogia as a direct into a lucid dream (WILD), but I thought that if I mix the mantra of waking up after all of my dreams, I could somehow chain together lucid dreams. I was thinking in the long run, as I perfect this present technique I could chain lucid dreams together by waking up after every dream, using hypnagogia to enter the dream, wake up from that dream due to the mantra and rinse and repeat that. Now, I'm asking this on the forum because I am heavily open to suggestion and would love any ideas and improvements people could give me as I usually use other peoples ideas and I'm not so sure how this will work. Thanks!

Don´t know if I can help, not so experienced here.
If you manage to wake up after each dream and your REM stage is over for that cycle, you will have to go through all sleep stages of the next cycle until another REM stage happens again and your method will probably not work. Exception is when you accidentally wake up before the total end of the REM stage and that will be a matter of chance (maybe mantra will help). In that case you could try DEILD with all its stages including SP, transition experience, hypnagogic halucinations and so on. I would try the DEILD tutorial again, it`s so good. Good luck.

I like your idea, however I would like to present you something that is based on the same idea (take advantage of your awakenings), but that not is dependent on hypnagogic imagery.

Well basically I am going to describe the same steps as you did, but in a different way.

      1. Practise to become aware of awakenings, you can take the easy way and use an alarmclock although then you are dependent on an external device. But it might be good to try in the beginning. Or you can practise the art of being present to the moment and meditate yourself to have a calm mind as you go to sleep in the night. Your bedtime also affects this a bit. And I have actually found that good dream recall can affect the ability to be aware of awakenings after each dream.

So here you got lots of ways to become aware of awakenings.

      2. See every awakening as a False Awakening, because atleast for me the majority of times it is. And see EVERY strange sensation as a sign of a dream. Because it is!
If you feel that you somehow can feel your awareness feeling different or if you hear a strange sound or if you feel a strange sensation or actually even if you don't feel anything at all, ALWAYS do this: Try to use dream control by for example imagining that you are holding your phone or boxing a wall or anything you like, I usually decide in that moment.
This way you both test to see if it is a dream, but also transition at the same time. So when you imagine something and you suddenly feel it and it's solid but you somehow still feel like you are in your bed, well 90 % of these cases you are in a dream version of your room, so just get up!

Now you no longer have to wait for hypnagogic imagery or some vibration, now you create the dream yourself.

Upon awakening this is almost an intuitive thing.

Just like if you have the radio slightly tuned in to a channel and you can hear some static but also some of the music of that channel you can easily just tune it right compared to if it was only static. It's the same for WILD, right now you can't tune in to the non-physical dreamworld, however after waking up from a dream you can easily just shift your focus of awareness.

I hope this made sense to you and that you find it helpful.
      Good luck and sweet dreams!
