      Having hard time falling asleep

Hello everyone! I need some advice. It's not that I'm too excited to fall asleep, but it takes about an hour to two for me to go to sleep lately. I was dissappointed that after a week of having dreams where I get closer to achieving lucidity, I don't remember a single thing about this morning's dream.

I'll keep it up, but I wanted to know if not achieving lucidy is due to not sleeping so confortable/or maybe not early enough.

      Thanks and Peace!

When I have this problem it is usually stress. There are several meditation techniques that can help you relax and then drift into sleep. But when I am unwilling to let go of whatever is bugging me then it is useless to even try so I turn on the TV and find something dull and boring to go to sleep.

      oh totally

if I don't get enough sleep, I won't have great dream recall and I certainly won't have LDs

but if I make up for it with a nap in the day, I'll often have LDs then

This entire summer it's taken me one or two hours of restless tossing and turning before I can actually fall asleep. I think my sleep cycle is all screwed up because I've been sleeping in late all the time

      Hi there,

I have also had this problem, moreso in the past then currently. Some of the ways that ive fought against this has been taking melatonin and well as valerian root to help me just relax a little and take my mind off things, since i am somewhat of an over-active thinkin and just a tad adhd . As well, 5-htp can work wonders, as it being the precusor to seretonin and melatonin as well can form from this. Meditation, as suggested does work well.

Actually while I spend many nights trying to astral project, i found myself drifting off to sleep, and brought on many lucid dreams.

I hope this helps a little, it def helped me out
