      brain fog, help

i'm the kind of person that is constantly questioning reality, always looking for ways to break through the illusions, looking for the abnormal in the normal, and i never accept coincidences as mere coincidences. so you'd think i'd be an avid lucid dreamer by now...not even close.

first thing is, i have never been able to "fall" asleep, because i'm rarely tired. i can go a day without food and still be wide awake after 12 hours. when i do try to sleep, i usually just lie with my eyes closed for a while and end up just passing out, probably because my body is so bored. i'm not tense or anxious, i just...don't get tired. my dreams are hazy; it seems like there's this brain fog that keeps me from becoming even slightly aware or remembering my dreams vividly. it's like i'm dreaming about me sleepwalking. i wake up not feeling rested, and remembering only vague bits and pieces of my dreams.

this brain fog is in my waking life as well....i have a hard time picturing things in my head, and thinking in general. i'm really intelligent and perceptive, but my mind seems dull and clouded. has anyone had this problem? thanks for any help.

i used to, occasionally. i haven't smoked it for a long time. it always gave me mental and intuitive clarity, and it helped me get to sleep, but it never really affected my dreaming. plus i always got major lethargic hangovers.

Except for the bit about pot, you sound exactly like me. If you find a solution to your problems, let me know!

Yeah, I've always been a rather smart logical type, and I think being like that for so many years has completely killed my imagination. For one: Nothing ever happens in my dreams that would be physically impossible in real life...

Pretty much, your whole first post sounds exactly like me... Good luck with all that.

The trouble I have with visualizing things is that once I get the image in my mind, it changes or diappears when I don't want it to. I also have the problem with not falling asleep but passing out after a half hour. So I have the same problem, and no idea how to solve it.
