I think it's a bad idea. |

I was wondering if anybody has thought of doing awareness checks instead of/along with reality checks. For example just checking and seeing how vivid things are. And if you're in a bit of a daze then try to highten your level of clarity by just focusing more. If things are really in a deep daze then you would do a reality check and then from there if you're dreaming raise your vividity and clarity with verbal techniques. I think that this is a bit easier than reality checks and would remind you to raise your level of vividity and clarity in your lucid dreams before you start to do anything and risk your lucidity all together. |

I don't think you understand me wasup. You see many people go about their daily life not realizing that they are in fact not as "awake" or aware as they could be. They go about their life in a bit of a daze. My thought is that eventually you'll get in the habit of staying aware. As you know the part of the brain that controls habits is still functioning so that would mean that at the very least you'll have more vivid dreams. This of course will help on its own. However I think that the level of awareness in a dream being raised would also make you more aware of the weird things that are happening. I for one do reality checks whenever their's something odd going on but the problem is that the logical part of your brain shuts down while sleeping, unless you're sleeping lightly. This leads me to believe that a hightened level of awareness in your dreams would lead you to realize more easily that whats happening is in fact not realistic. |

Oh I think I know what you mean now... |

Yeah, that's pretty much what I mean. I know what you mean with the spacing out too. |

Sounds like a good idea, i question where I am,what im doing, how i got here, and where im going now and again with RCs. hey I was trying to think of that Henry Ford quote the other day. |
|
When I do an RC I ask myself the question, "Could I be dreaming" and then I check everything, including my awareness. |
