      DILDing

DILDing seems to be what I need to learn.

First off though, is it normal to have dreams before REM state. Each night I wake up after each dream ( I go to bed around 10 ish) and record the dream. I get up every night around 12:30 record a dream fall back asleep then wake up at 4 or 4:30 with another and then sometimes 5:30 ish. Is that normal because each time I remember a dream.

So it has come to my attention that if I mastered DILDing then I could nights full of LD's, therefore it has caught my attention to learn.

Any tips for DILDing if anyone is experienced out there? Seems everyone is master of WILDing or other techniques. Never heard from a DILDer.

Well, DILDing isn't an actual technique used to induce a LD, its more of a way of knowing that you are dreaming. DILDing is the only way I have become lucid, and it is (i think) the most common way for a dreamer to becom lucid.

In the beginning of your post you asked if it is normal to have dreams before you reach REM. Well from the sounds of when you wake up and when you remember your dreams you are having them in REM, not before.

However, if you are having them before and just didn't really make a point of it, yes, it is normal. Well, I'm not sure about normal, but it happens, and is not out of the ordinary.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I am hoping to get DILD to work or really to teach myself to notice I am dreaming. I don't want to have to wake up at 5 or so and only have a LD then instead of the rest of the night. Anyways thanks guys.
