Does anyone hear loud rings when WILDing?

Hi folks. This is my very first post here. I've been lucid dreaming since I was around 6 (I'm 33 now), but only recently have I read information on the topic. I'm happy to know that I'm not a FREAK!
I've gone from a waking state to a lucid dream countless times, and always hear loud, intermittant surging rings before the dream forms. I wonder if anyone else has this experience when WILDing. I've always wondered if maybe it's the change in brain waves between waking and sleeping that causes the perception of noise. Thanks!

those are hypnagogic sounds and can be just about anything... i've only encountered them once and it was a strange sort of buzz.

Yup, I get those sounds quite a bit. I personally can't stand the sound for very long. It slowly drives me crazy!

I hear it whenever I die in a dream; or whenever else I suddenly wake up.

exactly. IT is VERY IMPORTANT to remain as calm as possible, and 'go with the flow'.

I think the computer's humming has permanently etched a high pitched buzzing noise in the back of my head, so... yeah

I don't hear loud rings, but I here like a weird buzz and feel my body buzzing as well....
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
