      Failing lucidity

I have tried to lucid dream numerous times (probably about 40) and i have only had sucess once. I have tried just about every method that there is and failed. The one time that i sucessed in a lucid dream was when i didnt try that hard to lucid. I am getting a little frusterated with my self, and i just want to lucid again. I am trying really hard to lucid, and I visit this site almost every day so i can get better at attaining lucidity. If anyone could offer any suggestions i would be extremely grateful.

Oh yea on a side note my dream recall ranges from allright to very good on a nightly basis.

Getting frustrated is only going to make things worse. I would suggest taking a break from actively trying to induce lucid dreams for a week or two. Sometimes a fresh start is all you need. And many times, when you do take a break, you'll find that a LD comes when you least expect it.

Also, when you are trying, are you sticking with the same method for a while, or are you jumping around from one method to another? It's a good idea to stick with one method for a week or two before giving up and moving on to something else.

My advice is not to try so hard, it seems like you are pressuring yourself too much, and when you fail at your TASK, you get mad at yourself and then it just seems impossible..Instead..Keep a dream journal, get to know some of your dreams, signs..and just take it easy...It is known that trying to hard at Lucid Dreaming can simply make it not possible to LD at all... I've learned that from experience..Then i just stopped worrying about it and it comes along as it does...

Dont get mad at yourself for not LDing..be happy that you've atleast had one...some people would kill to just remember one dream or to even have 1 LD...it takes time..and most importantly patience's....so i suggest you slow down...tell yourself "I shall Lucid Dream again..when im ready"

By pressuring yourself and maybe getting mad at yourself, it boggles your emotions up so your not at a emotional Clear state, where you are relaxed...Just take it one step at a time...You say you've tried all or alot of the methods suggested...Well maybe the key is to not try at all..Just know..that each night you lay down to sleep..you will dream that night...maybe for starters...dont look forward to Lucid Dreaming...Just look foward to knowing that you will dream, when you lay down to go to sleep...

hope this helps and good luck

      lucidity

I tried to use the WILD technique last night, and i managed to fail. I don't think that i have either the imagination or the imagery to do this techniques. Any tips?

WILD is more for advanced lucid dreamers. I haven't even been successful. I am doing MILD+WBTB together, as this can help get you lucid. Its known to be very successful. I am not sure if you can see a MILD+WBTB but you can either type it in google or perhaps just read a MILD Tut separate to a WBTB Tut and compile them together
