Hypnogogic imagery noises?

The other night when I was going to sleep I felt some hypnogogic imagery. Like when you get a falling sensation and kick your legs out. So anyway I was seeing myself holding a pencil shaped object, then I dropped it. When it laded it made this impossible to describe noise, it was like a crackling buzz, but it was very loud. I could've sworn I'd heard it right next to my ear. Has anyone else experienced this?

People experience different things while in the midst of Hypnotic Imagery. Auditory hallucinations are actually pretty common. I think we have a thread much like this one somewhere. Once, while trying to WILD, I heard what sounded like whispering in my right ear. ..Weird, but they're just part of the process.

as i get deeper into the HI, eventually my "hearing" becomes involved, and i'll hear other characters speaking, or sound effects from whatever scene i'm viewing. it's pretty strange when it kind of wakes you up out of the HI...but that's rare for me,.

Well I wouldn't have been so astounded if I were in fact attemppting WILD, but I was just going to sleep. It might have been a dream or just some imagery, but either way it was a really scary noise, and so hard to describe.
