      WILD advice please

      Hey,

Been a while since i posted here. forogt my old account name! Anyway. I am fairly good at having a good amount of lucid's per week, but I am tired of having them be random, thus the reason i chose to practice WILD.

The first time I did it, i had a weird sensation of someone blowing in my ear, warmness, vibrations etc. but did not go lucid, i was there for an hour and a half. But the last few days ive tried it, i cannot seem to keep my mind focused for that long on purely breathing and start to think of other things, like tv shows. I start to focus back to the relaxation but it always drifts off, and I get frustrated.

What excersises do you recommend to keep my mind focused purely, I do the 61 point relaxation, but I find it so boring I rush through it. Any advice would be awesome. thanks

Welcome to DV! It's great that you already have a bit of experience! Try letting your mind drift. Remain aware of your consciousness without actually focusing on any one thing too long. You might be more successful this way..

      Relaxing the mind.

At first I had trouble finding ways to shut my mind up and let it relax. One REALLY good trick for me is to find somthing in the room that is brighter than everything else.. An alarm clock in the dark.. Nightlight... Sun on a penny.. Etc.. It cant be somthing big like a wall though!! Maximum size, maybe a computer screen (Which does work too).

Anyway, unfocus your eyes and just leave them there staring at one spot on the screen, again dont focus on the spot. You will start to notice in about 10 seconds your brain kind of goes into a relaxed trance, the bright against dark is soothing to the subconcious (supposedly). Anyway i find it works really well, try to listen to your breathing while you do it to keep your mind from jumping back up. Its really easy to do =D

Never fails me! Hope this helps you. After your done staring for like 5 minutes your brain should be much more relaxed (As long as you dont run around and exercise it a bunch).

Let me know if it helped! =)

Lucid dreaming is such a tauntingly simple thing to attain...
