      Interesting Problem...

Hey. I was wondering if anyone out there is in the same situation as I am.

I always had lucid dreams as when I was a kid, it would just happen. I had no idea what I was doing at the time and just considered it normal to be dreaming as I was. However, some weird things started to happen. Something or someone started to chase me away from my lucid dreams, random "monsters" you could call them. They would say things like, "you don't belong here," and be really insistent on me leaving to the point of chasing me around, scaring me and forcing me to wake myself up. This happened for awhile until I just stopped having lucid dreams and ever since then I haven't been able to have a lucid dream, even if I tried. Any that i did have were by a random and usually i'd lose control because i would try to grasp onto it too hard. I am now just starting again to gain control of my lucid dreaming, the way I was able to as a kid. Is there any adivice anyone can give me? I really want to end this 10+ year dry spell.

      -Thanks

I say it was when you were little you had low-level lucidity and you were "scared" of your dreams, and the mosnters were infact your imagination or something like that...

Now that you are more expirenced with LD, I don't believe they'll be there. And now you know it's YOUR dream, if you see them coming, just KNOW you have an M16 and shoot them till they die

      Firstly, welcome to the forum!

I know it sounds backwards, but don't concentrate TOO hard on becoming lucid again. Sometimes it can work against you if you try too hard. Relax...

Are you having LDs now or you haven't had one since you were a kid? If it's a problem of maintaining lucidity, some people look at their hands to stabilize the dream first, before doing anything. If you haven't had one since childhood, I'd try some different induction techniques to see if you can't encourage LDs.

      Good luck!

I have characters who do the opposite, actually, but they only appear when I'm lucid.

      Well

I've had lucid dreams (2 or 3) since I was a kid but haven't been able to have any consitently or at will. The problem is when I can't even get to the point when I am aware I'm dreaming. It's interesting because It was never a problem before, at least when I wanted to have a lucid dream.

i have never been chased out...but i have been clobbered by a little kid, attacked by a mobb of girls, and punched in the balls like 3times. The dreams always end nice though.
