      Wild going to bed?

I know everybody says that wild-ing going to bed doesn't work but, I think there might be ways for it to work. On Sunday, I had smoke a little marijuana around 20h00, just a bit. I had a peppermint and chamomile tea before going to bed around 23h30. I was SO relaxed I decided to attempt a wild. So there I was lying still, felling like SP was coming but really didn't pay attention to it as I wasn't expecting anything. But THEN: I saw a star*, and then I could see more and more, until it was a complete night sky of bright stars. I was thinking to myself:" Hey, I can see the stars from here". It was like I was just lying on the ground, looking at the pretty sky, but then a character appeared in the air, just floating there, and I was like: "what this doesn't make sense.... OH MY GOD I'M DREAMING!!!" So everything disappeared.

I was completely lucid, but didn't really realise I had made the transition. I don't know if it has anything to do with the marijuana of if its just out of luck, but that was pretty cool. Its not like I'm used to this I only had 1 wild attempt that worked. So what do you think, can any of you wild going to bed?

I succeeded WILD'ing at bedtime in the evening several times. It's the best time for being creative in LD's to me, as I found it much easier to remember what I want to do then. Also, I have to wake up myself to write down some notes, or I most likely wouldn't remember them in the morning.

In the morning hours on the other hand, my dreams are much more vivid, which I think has to do with the REM cycles. I find it easier becoming lucid then, but very hard to remember any intentions.

      And I don't smoke anything.

I have been trying to WILD by going to bed initially. I have not succeeded yet, but I have come very close, as in SP and hallucination. I can feel it coming!!!

A warrior does not give up what he loves, he finds the love in what he does

Only those who attempt the absurd can achieve the impossible.

It's not that WILD'ing doesn't work when going to bed for the first time. But you're making it undeniably harder for yourself because the longer more vivid REM cycles take place in the latter part of sleep. What you experienced could have been a short REM cycle or HI. Don't substitute curiousity for laziness...the wheel doesn't need re-inventing.
