LD Newbie here - here's my advice for recall

      I'm a LD newbie
I havent had a LD yet (that I can recall) but I came close twice, but I'm still working on it.

Anyhoo, here's my method of increasing dream recall. Before I started doing this I could only remember my dreams about once or twice per 2 weeks on average (even when keeping a dream journal and other techniques found online). I can now recall at least 1 dream on average every second night - which is great for me since my average before starting journaling is maybe once a month! lol

I take 250 mg of B6 (1 capsule) and 180 mg of Ginkgo Biloba (3 capsules of 60mg each) about an hour before bed time. However make sure the Ginkgo says extract or leaf extract, not just dry leaf. Leaf extract is much more potent.

I know this is working for me and not another reason because I went from having one or two dreams a week to almost every night about 2 days after starting this, and I havent changed my diet or done anything else differently in this time.

I am still trying to have a true Lucid Dream experience after trying for over a year. Wish me luck

Ah... I'm not too sure that's good for you, isn't that a bit much and especially since you do it often.. (I guess every night?).

Even though it works right now, it'll probably, eventually lose its potency..

But if it works for you, I say go for it..(can't say depending on it is any good).

I bet Ginko alone would produce the same results. It's supposed to be great for your memory.

I did some research on it and it looks like this is a safe dosage. However you may be right about it becoming less potent over time. The bottle infact says to take 2 a day, but ofcourse this is just the recommended dosage, taking an 180mg is really not that much more than taking 120mg in the grand scheme of things, especially since it depends alot on the persons age, gender, weight etc...

Wow! Realy? I only investigated Ginkgo cause I didnt know much about it but I didnt research B6 cause I figured any it was safe as long I only took what it said on the bottle. I bought over the counter Vit b6, each capsule is 250mg and it says to take 1 per day with a meal.

Do you have any sites that show this for sure? I googled it and only found mixed answers.

Well I did some more research, and it looks like you are half right.

Most sites I just went to say that a safe dosage is around 30-50 mg but no more than 100 mg (mainly for people with B6 deficiencies). But it looks like the 250 im taking is definetly too much.

They also say that the damage done by prolonged usage can be reversed if you stop taking it. So I'm gonna stop taking it everyday, but maybe still take it once in a while. In the mean time I'll buy a lower dosage (I found a 25 mg by the same brand I take) to take daily.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention

-Masta! I have found this amazing pill that will make you remember dreams and help make you lucid!

-You dont say Imp... So whats this pill called?

-I have the bottle right here... *reads lable* Pppp...Llll...A..C..E...Bbb..Ooooo... Placebo... It really works!

-Sounds nifty Imp... Some motivation is always good... I do take a couple of them right b4 I go to sleep... In my mind... Relax... Visualize that you take a pill that will make you remember your dreams and believe in it... Repeat until you nearly overdose. Go to sleep and dream...

      *Imps mobile phone rings*
-Well I'm confused... Hold on masta, just have to get this... Yes? In your mind you say? Amazing dreams you say? Dream pill you say? You dont say... you DONT say!? YOU DONT SAY!? Well take care... *hangs up*

      -Who was it?

      -He didn't say...

Yeah who would have thought that stuff you ingest can actually affect the way your body functions? That's news to me.

All I can say is that since taking this combo, I can recall alot more dreams than I ever could before. Placebo or not, it works for me. To each his own I guess.

I'm not saying don’t take the combo... Just giving you another tip on how to improve your DR. Meditate right b4 you go to sleep and create your own dream pill in your mind... Takes some practice... But the more you do it and the more you can convince your self that it really works... The better the results... Visualization (day dream) is a powerful tool... Use it

      Thanks

Yeah I was just commenting about how some people (not you, cause I dont know you, just making a generalization) are so against taking any sort of herb or vitamin (cause they think its nothing more than a placebo) even though they have no problems with taking aspirin for pain or claritin for their allergies

I will definetely try the "mind pill" thing

At what time do you take B6? I sometimes take 120-180mg before I go to sleep but I don't think I ever noticed any effect on my recall. Am I taking it at the wrong time? Should I take it earlier? Or later during WBTB?

Maybe I'm gonna try Ginkgo too, does it have any side effects?
