Thread: need help with WILD

Alright so far i've gotten pretty close i think, but i wanted to ask what i should try focusing on.

So far the closest i've gotten i think i got all the way past SP, i could hear faint sounds, i could hear the woosh sound ocasionally, i heard what i think was a clock ticking and some strange music.. lol all of that went on at once and i've heard that 2 or 3 times when i've tried, i got a little HI but nothing too vivid, and i could feel my eyes moving really fast sometimes.

What i wanted to know was what should i focus on when i get to this point, should i keep counting, should i try to pay attention to the HI, should i listen to the sound, or should i try to imagine something like a scene or myself sinking into the bed.

Congrats on your progress! At this point, you should maybe passively start to pay attention to the HI. It is thie HI that will eventually solidify into a dream. You need to be care ful though. Paying too much attention to it will snap you of of WILD back into waking awareness.

Also, letting your concoiusness lapse will result in a non-lucid dream. It is a delicate balance.

thanks for the help, i tried yesterday but didn't get far, i got through SP but nothing else really happened

i probably won't be able to try WILD again for a while, i'm probably just going to try MILD for a while, spring break is over tomorrow for me so i can only try WILD when i sleep during the day, i need as much sleep as i can so i probably can't try at night anymore because it takes too much time, but i'm hoping being sleep deprived will help me to try it after i get home on weekdays, i usually fall asleep like 5 seconds after i lay down, it used to annoy me because i would lose most of my day, but now i'm hoping it well help me to have a LD

What helps me is having a dream scenerio in the back of my mind during the HI. And slowly letting the HI develop into that dream scenerio.

you keep saying i do get past SP... but i think you dont,,
because in you sp you can hallucinate....hear things and stuff.
so you probably are in your SP,
when it happends again, try to relax and picture the place you want to be, and just concentrate on that, that's how i WILD.
