      WILD idea

      What if I record myself saying "I am dreaming" and put it on my ipod. Then when I wake up in the middle of the night for WILD, I can lay back and start listening to it so no matter what I'll keep hearing myself say "I am dreaming" even when I drift off to sleep. Keeping it on repeat of course.

      What do you think? Good idea or too distracting?

      In my experience, I too tried that, when I was starting out, thinking it'd help me.. but I never had any success with it. I found it too distracting, sorry

      Yeah, figures. Well tonight is my first attempt at WILD. Hope it works. Not planning to stay up for a half hour though. More like 10 minutes.

      Dude, don't try to WILD before you sleep. The chances of that working are slim

      I usually wake up at 7am, to get ready for school. I set my alarm clock to 3am and that's when I try my WILD. You're going to be so tired at 3 in the morning, that getting relaxed will take a few seconds, and the vibrations stage will follow.. (if you don't fall asleep.) There isn't much to think about / fog up your mind when you're tired like that. So yea, I go to sleep at midnight, wake up at 3 to wild (usually takes under 3 minutes) and hope that I don't wake up from my lucid dream too fast, cause I find it hard to get lucid twice the same night.. but that's me !

      There's really nothing to it, the thing you want to focus on, is NOT to fall asleep.. and keep concentrated/thinking about getting lucid. Sometimes I get lucky, even if I fall asleep, a few seconds into my dreaming, I remember I was trying to LD.. and it works

      Err when did I say I was going to WILD before going to sleep? Anyway..

      I set my alarm for 3 last night, and somehow woke up a few minutes before 3. Felt tired and tried, but failed. Oh well. At least it helped my dream recall. I'll stick to DILD for now on (even though I haven't even had 1 LD yet).

      well i actually find it easier to WILD before sleep, it just takes a little longa to relax and it means you won't fall asleep

      So you can do that on 3 hours of sleep? I had read about needing 5 hours. In the past 3 days, I have had 1 successful LD, which was 5 hours, and then staying awake for about 5 minutes (which then took about 30 mins to fall back asleep), when I went into an LD after what seemed like an OBE.
