Did i do a good MILD?

ok, so before bed i looked over mild again and went to bed telling myself " i am going to wake up after every dream and write it down. i know i can do that. i know i will."

then, i waake up a couple of times in the night, except i cannot remember my dreams.

was that a successful mild or did i do anything wrong?

      Am I crazy?

Hi! I've had that happen to me a few times. Most of the time I don't remember my dreams, but if I really want it to happen I remember really well.

Try putting a dream journal next to your bed - you'll be more encouraged to write your dreams down. Plus, your subconcious might get a hint.

Lucids so far: 4 (3 DILD, 1 FILD) Although most are just DALDs.

Well, you obviously were succesful, as in you telling yourself to wake up worked out perfectly for you.

This isn't a MILD, however. MILDs are Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dreams. In other words, they are lucid dreams, induced by your (prospective) memory. That is to say, you remember to recognize the dream state, and as such become lucid.

Either way though, this is definitly a sign that your prospective memory can be pretty reliable and that you could therefore become good at having MILDs.

The best time to try having a MILD is after you wake up and remember a significant fragment of a dream. You will then be able to concentrate on getting back into this dream, visualizing yourself in it and seeing a dreamsign which will help you become lucid.

      Good luck.
