      motivation

      Hi,

Motivation is both your biggest friend and foe when it comes to having LDs. You can spend a lot of time during the day preparing for the night and feel that because you've put a lot of effort into the day, that's enough for you to obtain results. This is not always the case...in fact, it's very difficult to have lucid dreams using only daytime methods.

By far the easiest (I use that term very loosely) method into lucid dreaming is to re-enter the dream state. This is why waking up and writing dreams down is important. It's not so much the act of writing them down, but of actually getting yourself out of bed and waking up your mind so that you're thinking straight. You want to take this lucid mind back into the dream state, and this will make it much easier for you to recognise that you're dreaming.

      Hope that helps.
