      What am i doing wrong?

Well, i decided to try some binearal beats to go along with my journey on acheiving either a Lucid Dream or an AP. I made that track 30 min long. I assumed, with my exhaution , that it would not take long. I was right. My mind became clear, i was focused, and with this beat, i began to drift off. Until i became extremly tired, and for some reason i just turned off the music. It seemed like such a strong impluse to just fall asleep.

      Is this normal?

Are there ways to overcome the exhaustion to actualy acheive my goal? I seem to either be too awake, or too tired, which is making this difficult for me >.<

Absoloutely. I have turned off those beats more times that I care to. If I lay for more than 30 minutes, my muscles will ache, even if I am not tired. I find it better if you can record your voice saying affirmations like "you are relaxed. You will know when you are dreaming." Even if you record it in a sub-audible level, it can still be effective on the subconscious.

I'd go to CompUSA or the like and get a headset that has headphone and mic. They aren't that much. They also have digital USB microphone headsets that are better quality but cost around $80 or so.

At the subliminal audio levels you are using, or even low audible, quality won't matter so much. If your mic is really bad, with static and pops, then you probably should go to a computer store and ask for a cheap headset.
