      Trouble inducing LDs

I've been having LDs for about 6-7 months now but when I have them it's because I do RCs during the dream or the thought just hits me that I'm dreaming. I've never successfully been able to induce LDs though (WILD, HILD, MILD, etc). I've been in states where I have sleep paralysis but that's it. Everytime I try I always end up falling asleep. It's not a huge issue because I have pretty good recall and have an LD every other week or so (sometimes multiple per week) but I would really like to WILD since I hear it can lead to some extremely vivid dreams.

You're waking up after 5 or 6 hours and THEN trying to WILD right?
It's almost a suicide mission to go to sleep in the evening and WILD your way into a lucid dream right away.
You'll fall straight into delta/slow wave sleep (deep sleep).

If that's not the problem ... have you tried to nap for about 25 minutes in the day?
You might find it easier. Worth a shot anyway, right?

      I just told you why
Your sleep consists mostly of deep sleep at first
After about 6 hours you start dreaming more and deep sleeping less.
If you WILD right away, you'll dream for just a few seconds before passing out into deep sleep. Unless you're a Tibetan dream yogi, chances are your lucidity won't survive
