      New Lucid Idea (TILD)

Text-induced Lucid Dream. My neighbor and I are trying this out tonight. Steps:

1.) First, talk to your friend on AIM or something. Close the IM window and have them send you a message like asking how to do a reality check. Stare at it for like 5 minutes, concentrating very hard on what this statement means. Then keep visualizing those words in your head as you're falling asleep. Hopefully this is what you'll dream about, then you'll do a reality check, and viola! Lucid!

Sounds simple, right? Well, it's being tested tonight by my and my friend. We'll show results tomorrow. Try it out people, tell me if it works. Thanks in advance! Enjoy (hopefully)!!

Sounds like an intresting idea. Just one question. When you stare at the IM, do you first sleep for like 4 hours, then get up, stare at it, and then go back to sleep? Or just do it before bed?

Interesting idea. Although it sounds like it would be just as easy to think about lucid dreams. I don't see why an IM is necessary. I also think you may dream about the situation rather then realizing you are in a dream. For example once in a dream you may dream about trying to become lucid by doing that and forget to do a RC.

Maybe try doing RC while staring at the screen.
