      Strange technique I have found...

For the last three nights I have had 2 lucids, the second one was extremely vivid. On both occasions this is what I did in order:

      1. Got in bed and WILDed untill I got to one hundred, sort of as a practice.

      2. Fallen asleep normally at 11:00.

      3. Woken up at 4:30.

      4. But each time I was too tired so I fell asleep normally again without WILDing, or anything.

      5. As I was dreaming it just suddenly dawns on me that I am dreaming!

Why is this happening, I have also been practicing my RCs every hour, and practicing them well. Can anyone tell me why these steps have helped me induce DILDs? Thanks.
Success comes to those who are not afraid of failing.

Seems like the short periods of time between the waking state and dreams were what caused lucidity. You were waking up and then falling back asleep whilst entering dreams swiftly. Thus, in one of the dreams your mind made a swift comparison of your current (dream) state with the waking state you had not too long ago in the same night and you became lucid.
      Merely a logical deduction.

I have also been falling asleep very quickly whenever I wake up in the night to try wild, but for me it hasn't helped to induce lucid dreams at all. In fact I've been doing basicallly the same thing as you, but it just hasn't worked for me.
