I have been reading about lucid dreaming and it is intresting and nifty but is it just entertainment [for you] or is it something more? I can't really see the point in it. Maybe thats because I can remember my dreams fine without trying;.

How about experiencing, for the first time, complete and utter freedom? The ability to do anything you could possibly imagine, with no repercussions? I've been working at LD's for 3 months (Little results. ) and I'm sure it'll be worth it.

There is much more. Meeting one's subconscious, manifesting problems to deal with them, and meditating on 'a higher level' I see as being practical. Besides, how about the practical stress relief taking revenge upon your boss? There is possibly as much unknown inbetween our ears as there is inbetween the outer stars of the universe and beyond. That unknown in my head is begging to be explored. I first took up LDs to thwart nightmares, and now I can do so much more! It is far from just being entertainment.

Seconded. I have thought the same thing, apparently, since I've been trying for so long and with no results. But I'm positive it'll pay off.

The point of LDing is that it is the ultimate entertainment at little to no cost. It can take any form - be it a spiritual jorney or a bloody rampage Anyone can find something to do and the best thing is - there's no limits, no "end' to the fun - no "burnout"

To me the point is partly entertainment, but also to explore my inner self. Try new things that I could never do in real life, like flying, or talking to my subconscious, havning psychich powers, etc. Freedom, total freedom. At least that is my goal, but LDing is also a challenge to my perserverance, and a learning experience. I am currently having a (hopefully) minor dry spell, and even when I have gotten lucid, I haven't gotten control, so I have to keep trying until I succeed.
