I have read about the ''DreaMachine'' Topic. It's a Device that basically flashes light onto your closed Eyelids at a rate somewhere between 8 and 13 Flashes per Second: That trick can, however, also easily be achieved by Placing a StroboScope Flashing Light 10cm in front of your Closed Eyelids. Provided it can flash at somewhere between 8 and 13 Flashes per Second.

What you'll Experience then is an intensely Stimulated Hypnagogic Imagery : Swirls of Colors and Kaleidoscopic Colorfull Patterns, Rotating Colorfull Planes...etc. Also, Strangely, I noticed that my eyes Automaticly started shaking really fast : Like I was in an REM-Sleep DreamState very suddenly. Yet I wasn't, I was fully awake and concious.
So Allthough this seems Quite Hypnotising, During and after the entire experience (which isn't by the way very Mindblowing or anything; just..interresting IMO) you don't feel any disorientation or Hypnotised Loss of Conciousness-type of sensation as IS experienced with Natural Sleep induced Hypnagogic Imagery : You remain fully awake and aware.

So it brought me to the idea of making a sort of Strobo-sleeping mask that just Skyrockets your Hypnagogic Imagery: perhaps so that it can Bring you into a DreamScene Much faster than Experienced with Natural Sleep-Dreams. So to say an ARTIFICIAL way of Inducing Dreams ..While AWAKE. I hope this is possible and that's why I want to Experiment with this.

WHAT if a device could be made that could be worn like a sleeping mask and flashes light (Possibly tiny projected images) onto your closed eyelids, greatly stimulating and possibly prematurely inducing REM-sleep Dreams...While fully awake? That'd be like a ''HyperSpeed WILD'' or something. I assume it'd be much easier to Maintain Concious like this.

If any of you People here have any Suggestions as to what Other Artificial ways might also stimulate the Hypnagogic Imagery, Imagination and REM-sleep dreamstates while awake: Share it with me here so I might add it up to the Stroboscope-Technique to Stimulate HI Directly and Quick from Waking State.

I've done allot of testing on entering the lucid from the Ganzfeld state, especially using flashing goggles (Luma10 mind machine). What I experinced was that even though the lights were flashing, I still saw normal dream images or HI's if you will. The flashing lights neccesarily didnt cause the images, it seemed it was normal part of sleep. Considering also, I was doing it with the WBTB method.

My brain pretty much disregarded the flashing lights when I was drifting off to sleep. With that being said, when you're in REM and get a trigger (such as Nova Dreamer) they can come through into the dreamstate to alert you that your dreaming. I think when falling asleep you're going into at first a deep sleep and harder to notices flashing lights versus HI's and dream images which is normal.

That sounds like an interesting idea, the flashing lights. The only thing I worry about before considering trying such a thing, is could it harm my eyes? I believe that this could not actually indcue REM sleep during the day, but it could make for great HI induction, which I would love, as I've never really experienced HI, and have heard it can be quite enjoyable.

p.s., how do I induce HI during the day, if I want to experience it for fun? I have heard that it is possible, and can induce some really cool, real images.

Any light in my room will keep me up, never mind a strobe in front of my face. How about putting it on a light timer to go in 90 min after you fall asleep and stay on until you get up?

I've posted a program called lucid clock. You can set multiple alarms to play an mp3 file and flash the screen, this could come into a REM period or you could use it to induce HI's.
