Hi everyone ,
I've checked out this site yesturday, and its really interesting. Heres what my problem is: I had this dream that I was in a strange house with my friend, and I was just talking 2 her about stuff, when suddenly the door blasts open and I'm being chased by bad guys. I dont know what happens 2 my friend. Then I find myself flying over buildings and the guys are in helicopters shooting at me (I know, I have really weird dreams) then I go to this haunted house, and keep on running away from them. Suddenly the whole subject changes and I become an archaeologist and scearch 4 ancient artifacts in that same haunted house, it's really weird. In my dream, I just go with the flow. Like I do stuff in my dream with out stopping 2 think. Then when I wake up, I get so mad at myself that I didn't acctually think in that dream and do what I wanted to do. This always happens 2 me. I remember my dreams perfectly, but when I find my self in a dream I usually wake up in about 5 to 10 min. Can anyone tell me what to do to just stop in my dreams and say "Hey Im acctually dreaming, I can do what ever I want". And not waking up in 5 min.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanx

Welcome to Dream Views MoNmOn!

For the record, I'm slightly new here so I'll offer what I can. You are not alone, many of us are trying to control our dreams too, also known as lucid dreaming.

It appears that you have a pretty clear-cut dream recall so you're off at a good start. Next what I would do is to perform reality checks during the waking hours often so that you'll eventually perform a reality check in your dream.

In your post you said "Like I do stuff in my dream with out stopping 2 think." Sometimes stopping 2 think in the waking hours will help you 2 stop and think during your dream.

Once you find out that you're dreaming you could attempt to become lucid. Keeping a dream journal may help also but I haven't tried that.

Try not to get frustrated or discouraged! Many people miss out just from giving up completely. Lucid dreaming is a skill and will take time, commitment, and determination to master. Kind of like riding a bike for the first time.

There are many other ways to have an LD. My final advice is to browse around this site and find something that works for you personally.

Oh and it's normal for a dream to be weird (trust me I've had much weirder ones! ) Hope this helps!
