      another failed attempt!!

      hello!

well, I was in my house (seems to me that every time I dream I'm in my house is when I am most likely to get close to going lucid!). I was walking around at the top of the stairs, outside my room, and the bathroom upstairs etc. and I was really quite scared - there were shadows moving around, and I "felt" things to be scared of. Anyway, eventually, the fear caused me to run into my bedroom and take a flying LEAP onto my husband who was lying in bed, HAHAHA, I bet if I'd REALLY done that he would have been extremely p****d off Then I was in bed, I THOUGHT I was awake recalling this experience (only realised I wasn't when I REALLY woke up) and was saying to myself - "why didn't you go lucid?". DOH!

Later that night I had one of my epic dreams but it was slightly disturbing - every now and then these guys would appear and make me uncoscious - they were controlling me and getting me to do things when I was awake (although I was trying to get away from them). Other dream characters kept SUGGESTING that I do things, and I just knew to do what they said. Everyone seemed to be in on it!
I live in this place with a natural grace.... and I walk through confusion with a smile on my face.

Sooo ummmm, tell me something? What kind of things are they trying to get you to do? And Don't leave anything out either...

Oh and you know what if you're finding that your dreams are starting in your home then you have the perfect dream sign. utilize some everyday activities to initiate it. For instance everytime you walk up the stairs just do a reality check make it a habit to look at your watch or anything that would be changeable in a dream everytime you walk up your stairs. That should work out great for you.

hi there - ok you asked for it then......... I had to do a drug deal! Only the soft stuff though - had to buy a certain amount of grass (but it was in tightly formed lumps like solid!!). And there were other things too - but I can only remember one of them - ok you asked for it.......... I had gone swimming and there was this sauna, and someone said to me in that persuasive kind of voice, "go have a sauna". When I got to the door I could see in and there was basically one big orgy. I bottled out of going in though (no, honestly I did!). In hindsight though, all of the "participants" were men, so I don't see why they would have wanted me in there anyhow! (Well, you did say leave nothing out!!). It looked really amazing though, almost artistic (there's this film set in kind of ancient/mythological Greece with this big orgy in it - not porn btw, a really arty film - and all the body parts seem to be mixed up and distorted, it's set in a Greek temple or something??? Well it was a bit like that).

Anyway, that's beside the point really. The point was that even though I can't remember all the things I had to do, they were watching me the whole time. They just kept appearing and would inject me or something and I would be out again. I was trying to figure it all out in the dream though - I had figured out that one of these guys had black and reddy dreadlocks, (I guess I was in awe of him a bit cos he looked like an old flatmate I used to have when I was younger who I was a bit in awe of) - in awe of him even though he was "bad". Maybe I thought I could charm him to be nice to me? Maybe that is the challenge.......... Anyway, it was one of those dreams where you are continually searching for the truth, or the facts. It ended with me saying to this guy "they just appear from nowhere and take me" at which point they all appeared over the crest of the hill looking a bit like superheroes on horseback. OMG!!!

This is why I think LD must be so useful if you're an artist, writer - all that imagination unleashed!!

I really like your idea for doing the reality check on my stair way - I think that could work! I'll let you know how I get on.

      Cheers

ps hope I didn't break any forum rules there

Well all I can say is that you are getting closer.

Keep trying. I had a phase where I almost became lucid during my dreams too for quite a while.

Heh, last night I had one of my rare dreams which actually had some kind of plot... I forgot most part of it though because I was trying to recall it, and in the process fell asleep again because I was pretty tired.... I still remember some parts and the overall feeling that it was a pretty good complex dreams but when I fell alseep for the 2nd time I dreamt something similair and now my memory is clouded because the two dreams mix...
