Definately can help people. I usually disable sigs/avatars cus of all the images slow down my connection and loading time (I have teh 56k), so I won't see them. But I'm gonna throw it in my sig for all the other guys. |

many of u will by now have noticed that me and a few other people have in our signatures "do a reality check" or something of that nature... its just a thought, but its my suggestion that if everyone put this in there sig, we would have people doing reality checks alot more and therefor be increasing lucid dreams... ill bet if we all did this the lucid dreams of everyone in the forum would increase greatly! just a thought, forget about it if u think its a bad idea... |

these jokes in no way reflect the opinion of mountain or his affiliates and subsidiary corporations, and as such he is immune from all whining, bitching, complaining, lecturing, the pointing out of ignorance, awareness raising, lawsuits etc. if you would like mountain to stop making racist jokes, he in turn would like you to go f*ck yourself</span>.

That's assuming that people will actually do reality checks when they see the signatures. I doubt many people do that now (I know I don't, but being on a computer is definitely NOT one of my dream signs), and if EVERYONE had that in their sigs, something tells me even those people would begin to just "skim over" them. The reminders wouldn't exactly stand out. Who wants to RC after every post they read anyway? lol |
|
well maybe just after each new topic you click on after all its not that hard, its as easy as pinching your nose and trying to breath, takes less than a second and requires no real effort. besides, the more you do them, the more youll be able to use them in dreams, it doesnt have to be just when your dreaming of being on a computer |

RC's are really only effective when you remember to do them without being reminded. If you only RC when you are reminded to (like by reading a note you left to RC, or RC'ing when a your watch alarm goes off, etc), you're really just conditioning yourself to RC when you encounter a reminder to. Unless you encounter a note in your dream that says to RC, or your dream-watch goes off and reminds you to RC, that conditioning isn't going to do you much good. On the other hand, if you spontaneously remember to RC, or if you condition yourself to RC whenever you encounter something strange, those behaviors will benefit you in the dream world, because they don't rely on an outside stimulus. |

I think it is a great idea. How does mine look? |
|
I like the idea, but generally when I see that siggy of do a reality check, I ignore it, and just do RCs when it comes to mind, but for people who haven't developed good RCing habits, this could be very useful. |
|
Recently I've been making myself do reality checks when I see alll your sigs, but since I rarely do RCs without that type of reminder, I have to agree with DuB. For me at least, I don't think it'll help. |
|
No offense, but the RC sig has to stand out. I agree with Dub... |
|
I am from South Africa
I'm not sure about this... it might work, but my initial reaction was the same as what DuB said. I'm not going to RC after every single post, but I don't want to get into the habit of ignoring things that tell me to RC. |

Most people it probably won't help. I doubt a computer will actually be functional in anyone's dreams. I've had 3 dreams on the computer. All lucid. Once I lost lucidity and started becoming part of the videos I was watching, once an error message came rejecting me from the computer, and once the icons starting buzzing out. |
