Disclaimer: My dreams are weird. Lawl.

Okay, recap of my dream. Big buldges are appearing all over the walls in my room. One over my trophy case gets huge then explodes. A giant worm monster thing comes out. I freak out, then I calmly say "Hey I'm dreaming" and then I wake up.

This was lucid right? Just recognizing I was dreaming? Also, any reason why I woke up? I don't know if I would have gained any control after that, but I might have. And there was no time to get overly excited about me dreaming. As soon as I realised I was, I instantly woke up.

      Congratulations! That was lucidity.

If you started attempting this only two days ago, you're doing freakin' well!

Awesome! Thanks. Also, I had my light on to try to induce more vivid dreams, I think it worked!

Really, just realizing you're in a dream is lucidity, even if you wake up right away? I thought you had to control something, stay for a few seconds maybe. Cool. I often know subconsciously that I'm dreaming, but it's not like I act on it, or make it some conscious realization though.

Guy who dreamed on the second night: I personally am a sprinter. I run and learn fast at first, but I run out of gas quick. Just be aware of your nature if you're a sprinter: life is a marathon, only SUSTAINED effort will get you where you want to be. There is no domain where that is more true than dreaming. You have to will it with everything you have every night for the rest of your life to even see modest success.

      Keep up the good work!

MrGreen: How can you think it worked. You were either lucid or you weren't. Maybe it helped?

I mean that when I slept with the light on, the dream seemed longer and I had almost complete recall of it, compared to some of my other dreams where I only get fragments.

Another thing, this might have helped me become lucid, in real life I turned on a light to help with my dreams, and in my dream I was getting ready to go to bed, with the light on, so I must have thought about lucid dreaming in my dreams. Too bad I didn't do a reality check so I could have remained lucid longer

dude, thats amazing. I mean the whole lucid on second on second day thing. Did you know about lucid dreaming before the first time you tried?

I had visited this site before a while ago, it looked too complicated so I forgot all about it. I don't think I really understood what it was, otherwise I would have definately tried to get into it then.

I mean... I guess technically I had a Lucid Dream, but hardly, and it doesn't really count to me I guess. Like I said, the second I knew I was dreaming I woke up. I would have liked some control, or at least been in a dream longer I'll keep trying I guess.
