I'll give meta-thought a try... should take me a week to get used to doing it and then another week for the habit to start showing up in my dreams. I'll post if it helps.
Regarding reality checks I would like to add that even though they're a pain and I don't do many either they ARE a good way of increasing the number of DILDs. I get 1-2 DILDs per week when getting enough sleep and trying to have them. However, I also record 1-2 occasions in such a week at which I could have gone lucid, yet dismissed suspicious feelings without doing a reality check.
