Always so tired in the morning

I have a question, is it really necessary for me to stay up for 1-2 hours after I woke up from a 6 hour long sleep period? Because I set my alarm clock always at 6 hours after I go to bed. Then I am really damn tired and I'm in a very bad mood because this book "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" says that for performing WILD or MILD you have to wake yourself up and "go about your business" for 1-2 hours. That's a lot harder than it sounds. I'm drowsy all the time no matter what I do. And so far I don't see the benefits of this technique, why is that necessary? And would it be enough if I just waked myself up to get another attempt at WILD? Just for a minute? You have to understand that, it's really stressful to get up so early.

Its to make sure you are full awake. Personlly I say get up get a drink, check website or something, take maybe 10 minutes and your awake enough to go back to bed and do a WILD. I don't see the need for two hours. Its really up to the person though everyone is different. If you get tired though I would say try something else.

I would say if you try a WILD and fall asleep in 2 minutes maybe you need to stay up longer, if you can lay there longer than 20-30 minutes without falling asleep your most likely awake enough.

I get very tired when I wake up in the mornings too. I don't know how old you are but I am 20 in college, I think Stephen LaBerge was not taking into account the wee hous of the morning we stay up to and the long hours of sleep that we are accustomed too.

I would say for the best success, sleep 6 hours, wake up for 45min-1 hour solid and DO something while you're awake for that hour so that your body and mind are active. Then you can get comfortable, go back to sleep and induce your lucid dream.

The dream is real, my friends. The failure to realize it is the only unreality.

I listen to a CD or the radio while I am in my bed. Then I fall to sleep again after that.
      Are you dreaming?

LaBerge used to stay up 2 hours to induce morning naps. It's not the same thing as midnight WILD.

In the middle of the night, 5-10 minutes of light activity is enough to ensure you are awake enough.

Try writing down your last dream, or doing something easy.

I seem to have a great difficulty falling back to sleep, once I get up.

when I try WILD, it's either falling asleep, or never falling asleep.

It's really hard to not move and stay in one position when your mind

      is awake.

im a cranky shite when i wake up.
if i stay awake for any lengthy period, im so ready to get back to bed and sleep, that i just let myself.

human, thats a bomber idea, cause thats really easy, just lean over, switch it on and your mind is active, and it usually lasts for what would be a good time frame.
