About 3 months ago I came upon the Dream Views website, and I must say that it's absolutely great. Back then I tried to become lucid night after night, but it seemed I was doing something wrong or it just wasn't working.

Just the other night, after about a month of not trying to become lucid, I became lucid accidently. What happened was, I woke up from a regular dream, around 8 AM, and as SOON as I closed my eyes to go back to sleep (which was right away), I saw images and a dream began to form. It was lucid, but since I hadn't been to this website in months, I forgot all the methods (i.e. - the spinning method, reality checks, etc).

The reason I'm here now is because I've started trying to become lucid again, and I think I MAY have come close and I'm wondering how close I was.

Last night, after about 5 hours of sleep, I woke up, came to the computer and looked at this website for about 30 mins, drank some Coca Cola, and went back to bed. I tried the "reverse blinking" method, and soon I was very tired. Then, I started seeing "rings of red" or "rings of fire" and became very dizzy and disoriented and was hearing tinnitus (ears ringing), and I was feeling as though I was "falling into a dream". It didn't work though, soon enough I felt myself back in bed as though I never left.

Was I close? If so, what was I doing wrong and how can I make it so that I will continue into a dream scene? I would appreciate any help and thank you all ahead of time.

      Merry Christmas to all!!!

Yea, I know what you mean. I had few experiences like this. If you are close? I would guess yes, you are, at least you know the feeling so you won't be scared anymore of it (honestly - I LOVE that feeling). I also couldn't get further, I started to feel uncomfortable or something.

So... good luck and Merry Christmas too!
