I learned about LD's not too long ago and I cant wait to try but what are some things I should do before I try? I am starting to remember my dreams more and more but I still dont remember them every day so is there any point in my trying to become Lucid yet? thanks.

id try to remember atleast 1 to 2 dreams a night and began to do reality checks through out the day..and keep a dream journal and go back through it to see if there are any reoccuring events that happen in them so if it comes up again, your likely to do an RC and realize you are dreaming..
LD Count: 300 since 2005, average 40 LDs a yr

Sounds good. I've been keeping a dream journal recently and ive remembered 2 dreams in the past 3 or 4 nights, and i usually do that rc where you squeeze your nose throughout the day.

You can start trying to LD whenever, but the only problem is you may not remember a lucid dream that you've had! While doing reality checks, keep up a detailed dream journal to really get your dream recall up so you can recall all your dreams and more likely become lucid. Good luck.

Ok well up until now I had a dilemma.. In the past when I have tried to have an LD by methods such as wilding and reverse blinking, i was unable to remember my dreams in the morning. Well last night I tried reverse blinking again and got to the point where my whole body was slipping away except my chest because of my breathing.. (<<how do i get past that?) anyways i was very very relaxed but could not have an LD, which did not dissapoint me too bad because I'm new to the whole thing. But much to my surprise... this morning I remembered 2 or 3 dreams! I can't really tell if they were seperate dreams but they were all very unrelated so i'm thinking that they were! so thats exciting, now i can attempt to have LD's without killing my dream recall .

It almost seems like your trying to methods at once. The DILD (Dream induced lucid dream) is when you notice a dream sign or reality check. The WILD which is what your doing with the reverse blinking is to enter directly into the dream. You can have equal success with either it's just what works for you.

I started right away and had my first LD after a week. If you can remember your dreams, just 3 or 4 a week, then it's okay. It's hard not to recall, that you've been lucid.

I agree. Lucid dreams always seem to stick better than the non-lucid ones.

If you're new to LDing, maybe WILD isn't the best way to start. I would just concentrate on getting at least 2 dreams a night most nights, and try to get in the habit of doing regular RCs.
I've been interested in this for over 9 months, and I still haven't WILDed (well, I've only tried twice). DILDs require so much less effort and I like my sleep

I just have a funny feeling that i will never do an RC in my dream.. even though i do them throughout the day. is that all i do for a DILD, just tell myself to remember to do an RC?

Keep it positive! It might take you a while but you WILL get it. Just do your reality checks and keep recording your dreams in your dream journal. There are other, more advanced methods, but for starters just stick with that. Just message me if you need any other help.
