      Attention WILDers!

Recently I've had a breakthrough in WILDing so I thought I could maybe shed some light on the subject.

First, some background. Scratch my other posts about seeing hypnogogic imagery, I had no idea what I was talking about at the time! This time, rather than daydreaming, I actually experienced flashing lights with my eyes closed! They were in irregular shapes and were too "full" in volume to be car lights shining through curtains. I woke up, though, since the HI was really out of the ordinary.

Another thing that made this WILD attempt unique was that I found a new balance between concentration and relaxation. I think I did this by listening to some music for 30 minutes after WBTB - something soothing to keep me sleepy but has a rhythm to help stimulate my mind a little, I recommend some jazz or classical.

I've read in other posts that people have been using alarm clocks to WBTB. I highly do not recommend an alarm clock since it can kill your dream recall. I've trained myself to wake up 5-6 hours after sleeping by using part of the mnemonic technique.

Another thing that could help is to avoid daydreaming in the day. Try to keep your mind aware about everything all of the time (note my signature :p). Save the "passive looking" or "spacing out" for WILD attempts.

Getting enough sleep and having a daily sleep routine may also help with not only WILDing but dream recall, DILDs, and you may even feel invigorated during your waking hours! In other words, no sleeping in OR staying up late!

      Hope this helps!
