Now, I'm not sure if anyone has posted this before, so yell at me if so. :)
Oh yeah: If you don't live in a country that has legalized cannabis, don't do this blah blah disclaimer.
Anyway, I know the general consensus is that marijuana hinders dreaming, and I've experienced this myself. I've always wondered why, it seemed weird to me. Probably something to do with short term memory. Anyway.
Just today I was going in for a nap, and decided to smoke out directly before napping. Everyone who smokes knows sleeping while high rules. So I'm sitting there, and I decide to try a WILD despite weed hindering dreaming. I figured it couldn't hurt much. After about ten minutes I felt my body become tingly and I realized I was beginning to enter sleep paralysis at this point, which is wonderful because it's difficult as hell to do that. After it seemed like I was hearing auditory hallucinations, I started moving. The problem was of course that doing a WILD is scary enough sober, but while high it's damn near frightening.
My point is, I think cannabis may be a viable option to get into a WILD. It's 100% easier to relax while high and not move, your mind is much more soothed, etc. So I hypothesize that if I were to somehow be able to get over my fear of it and go into sleep paralysis (which I got 95% there today within a matter of minutes, and I could repeatedly do so every time I got up or moved) I would be able to enter a lucid dream. I believe that I would be able to do this and remember the dream simply because I'm passing from one consciousness to another and am totally lucid on both sides.
Anyway, does anyone have any comments or ideas on this or be willing to contact me through AIM or something and discuss ideas and testing it, etc? I'd love to hear other people's ideas.
