      Thumbs up

Okay, well I find that I will often wake up in the middle of the night etc. where I still have a few hours sleep left. I won't move, but I will wake up wide awake. I feel like I have totally rested and don't need to sleep. (Physically and mentally) Normally if I feel like this I'll get up for 30min and then go back to sleep. Is there any point in trying to Deild when I wake up totally awake?

I only did a DEILD once but the way i did it was i had a lucid and as it was fading i just kept my eyes closed and didnt move and it worked. When you did yours, were u exiting a dream and tried to remain still and eyes close? Or did you all of a sudden find yourself awake in the middle of the night?

You need to do it while exiting a dream.

Sounds like more of a time to WILD. Have you tried that? To DEILD, you really need to stay half-asleep.

Well in that incident I just woke up in the middle of the night, but I have tried it after waking up from a dream. The problem is when I wake up from a dream I normally am wide awake.

Hmm I have tried to WILD when I wake up but I think I am too awake for even that.

Maybe I need to get less sleep?

Maybe, keep on trying though. You might just get it to work one time and figure out what you have been doing wrong.

I have that problem a lot too; so no advice. A lot of times, if I'm up, I'm up for the day. I can't seem to WILD during naps the way some people can.
