(Excuse the thread title - making fun of silly actronymned techniques is a kind of running joke for me) Okay, a little background: I'm a very deep sleeper, and it's an uphill battle for me to maintain decent dream recall, let alone lucidity.

But for the past few days, I've been leaving the TV on throughout the night, playing the Director's Cut edition of Bladerunner on low volume on repeat throughout the night. And my dreaming's gone through the roof, culminating in a lucid last night, as well as another semi-lucid fragment.

Now, haha, of course Bladerunner has no mystical powers as a lucid-inducing movie. (Though it's a REALLY good movie! If you haven't seen it, yada yada yada...) But I really think that having the TV on at low, barely audible volume helped prevent me from sleeping so deeply. The background sound and light flashes (My bedroom is very dark) probably helped me to sleep a lot lighter, and get better recall, vividity, and perhaps even lucidity.

Does anyone else have any experiences with improving dreaming by leaving the TV on? What are your thoghts?
