My suggestion wasn't really for a 24 hour a day state of mind. I just think it is good practice for lucid dreaming. It makes sense that it would be really good for WBTB. On some days, I will think like that for a few minutes at a time, and I think it is one of the most effective lucid dreaming techniques. It definitely is for me. Dreaming is bizarre and often nonsensical. The trick is to catch it when that is happening. The type of thinking I illustrated, which should be done in exercises and not an attempt at a permanent mental state, makes me very ready to catch bizarre things happening and, as a result, much quicker to do reality checks and able to notice when I am dreaming. The best reality check I know of is trying to float. It has been by far my best reality check method for years. It absolutely guarantees me that I am dreaming. |
